Emerald Coast Okinawa

Emerald Coast Okinawa is a Northwest Florida cultural performance group dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich traditions of Okinawa, Japan. Through powerful Eisa drumming, traditional Shishimai (lion dance), folk music, and energetic cultural performances, the group introduces audiences of all ages to Okinawan heritage. They regularly perform at festivals, schools, libraries, and community events across the Southeast, promoting cultural exchange and education. At Tokyo X 2026, Emerald Coast Okinawa will bring the spirit of the Ryukyu Islands to Houston with dynamic performances celebrating Okinawa's unique history, music, and traditions.
